The Andalusian Regional Government plans to subsidize the modernization of greenhouses in Almería and Granada

The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Clara Aguilera, recently visited the Netherlands to learn about new production and energy models applied to greenhouse farming. Cogeneration and the use of renewable energy were the main focus of her visit.

The Andalusian government considers investment in technology essential to increasing the competitiveness of Andalusian greenhouses. Therefore, it plans to develop a subsidy program to promote the implementation of new protected cultivation techniques, such as those already being used in the Netherlands.
