Greenhouse for the treatment of sewage sludge

IMA-MSC Greenhouses has developed a new greenhouse designed for the treatment of sewage sludge through a dehydration or solar drying process. This greenhouse will be the first facility of its kind in Spain.

Sewage sludge from agricultural and livestock activities undergoes a progressive dehydration process, both through filtration and through evaporation enhanced by the greenhouse. During the fully automated drying process, solar energy is supplemented by a sludge turning device, ventilation systems, and other equipment. The final product is dry sludge that is biologically stable, has a minimal water content, is odorless, and is suitable for all types of disposal: incineration, agriculture, reforestation, etc.

IMA-MSC Greenhouses, in collaboration with the companies promoting this initiative, has managed to respond with its structures to the needs of this innovative project.
